CASTSYNOPSIS  THE CHARACTERS

 THE GREEK GODS

 TROY  SNEAK PEEK

Agamemnon marks the first time that Aeschylus' difficult Oresteia trilogy--written in 458 B.C.--will be 1) translated into American Sign Language and 2) produced specifically for Deaf-deaf audiences anywhere in the United States.

Agamemnon picks up immediately in the aftermath of the Trojan War:  Agamemnon, king of Argos and general of the Greek armies, returns home victorious after 10 years only to be ambushed and butchered by his wife and her lover.

His son returns to Argos from exile to avenge his father's murder, and for that deed, he is put on trial by the gods: at its heart is whether his deed is justified or not.

The act of vengeance is never without consequence.
