What is Educational Drama?
If you're interested in how children can learn about themselves through drama, then this is the specialization for you. This specialization combines three different studies together - theatre arts, education, and psychology - to show how role play, drama techniques, and improvisation can be integrated into educational, recreational, and social settings. You will learn how to lead children in applying story building, character development, and improvisation to their own personal, social, intellectual, and physical growth.
Major RequirementsA new general studies curriculum was approved by the Gallaudet faculty on June 25, 2007. Students entering in Fall 2007 follow the new curriculum. An introduction to the new General Studies Curriculum is online, presented in ASL and English.
